What's New For the 2021 Cadillac CT4 & CT4-V?

The Cadillac CT4 and CT4-V were first launched in 2020. The CT4-V is a more powerful variant of the CT4, but the two vehicles are otherwise largely the same. They add a few more features in 2021, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are some newly standard safety features to look forward to with the 2021 CT4, including automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning. You now have the option of getting a larger digital instrument cluster with a 12-inch display screen. A semi-automated driving system is also available for the first time. The CT4 and CT4-V are offered in several appealing trims that provide choices for everyone.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?

There are four trims of the CT4 in 2021, including the three CT4 trim levels and the CT4-V variant. The first trim is the Luxury. It has a turbo engine for power and a wealth of interior amenities. This trim includes standard LED headlights and taillights, and keyless ignition and entry with remote start capabilities. The base CT4 also has dual-zone climate control, and its front seats are power-adjustable for the driver and passenger.

An eight-inch touchscreen is standard with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. An eight-speaker audio system is standard as well. The Premium Luxury is the next trim in the CT4 lineup. This trim has larger wheels that are 18 inches in size. It also adds some more safety technology, and it gets auto-dimming side mirrors.

The Premium Luxury has automatic rain-sensing wipers as well for safer and more confident driving in inclement conditions. The Sport trim is the third and final trim in the regular CT4 series. This trim level has a sportier look and a more athletic design with Brembo brakes, a body-colored exterior with a rear spoiler and custom door handles, and tinted lights on the back end. This trim has a sportier steering wheel as well as paddle shifters.

The CT4-V has the interior design of the Premium Luxury and the performance attributes of the Sport. The Premium Luxury has a more powerful engine and a limited-slip differential. It also has an enhanced performance traction system and refined stability control. It is available for upgrades with a technology package that adds a head-up display, a Bose premium sound package with a Bose stereo and wireless charging, and a climate package with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. A safety package is also available.

To start, the base engine for the 2021 CT4 is a turbo 2.0L with four cylinders. This engine's power output is 237 HP and 258 LB-FT of torque. An eight-speed transmission is standard. The Premium Luxury gets an available 2.7L turbo engine with a power output of 310 HP and 350 LB-FT in torque. The CT4-V has a more powerful variant of that engine with a power output of 325 HP.

CT4 and CT4-V Safety at the Forefront

Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard on the CT4 and CT4-V. You can add on Driver Awareness package and lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
