The Escalade is a model so legendary that it's associated with everything luxurious about SUVs. The Luxury and Premium Luxury trims are the first trims in the SUV's lineup and kick off your favorite 2023 Escalade features.

Performance

The Escalade's 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine is standard on the Premium Luxury and Luxury trims. It's joined by a 10-speed automatic transmission that features tap-up/tap-down shifting and a tow/haul mode. There are some distinct performance features available only on the Premium Luxury, including reverse automatic emergency braking. The major differences in these trims exist outside of performance.

Appearance

The Escalade Luxury and Premium Luxury both have a glamorous exterior available in Cadillac premium paints like Black Raven, Sandstone Metallic, and Dark Emerald Metallic. They both differ on what exterior features and wheels they start off with. For example, the Luxury comes with 22-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels, chrome roof rails, and LED headlamps. The Premium Luxury builds on these features with standard 22-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels with a polished finish and options like 22" 12-spoke chrome alloy wheels that aren't available for the Luxury trim. Other Luxury Premium only options include monochrome Cadillac emblems, a bright sport mesh grille with Galvano surround, and power-retractable assist steps. Both of these models feature cutting-edge design, but if you want more freedom to customize, the Premium Luxury is a smart choice.

Features

Both the Luxury and Premium cabin delivers a fantastic array of Escalade-exclusive styling and comfort. The Escalade features heated front seats, a front center console, and a standard AKG Studio 19-speaker sound system. There are many more available features on the Premium Luxury trim. It offers a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference system, Brandy, and Very Dark Atmosphere accents on genuine leather seating with faceted quilting and illuminated sill plates that you won't find optional on the Luxury trim. Design features are the main way to customize any SUV and really make it feel like your own design.
