Specs at a Glance

Having five standard seats, the 2021 Cadillac XT5 makes an imposing appearance on the American market for luxurious crossover SUVs. The Luxury and Sport trims have lots of advanced amenities, like the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system and premium Bose speakers.

Performance

The 2021 XT5 Luxury has a turbocharged 2.0L engine that kicks out 235 horsepower and slightly less than 260 pound-feet of torque. Completing combustion through normal aspiration, the Sport's 3.6L V6 engine generates 310 hp and just above 270 lb-ft. Both Cadillac crossover SUVs have an all-wheel drive system that splits torque to increase traction on wet roads. Generating up to nine preset gear speeds, an automatic transmission system is installed on these luxury models. The 2021 XT5 Sport has several other exclusive components that improve performance, like a twin-clutch for the AWD and a heavy-duty cooling system for the six-cylinder engine block. Both Cadillac cars come with an electronic button that controls the Automatic Start/Stop feature for the powertrain. Additionally, the battery protection package is optional for these lavish trims.

Appearance

Some dazzling paint options available for the 2021 XT5 Luxury and Sport include Infrared Tintcoat and Wilder Metallic. Featuring the Bright Silver finish, the entry-level model's wheels measure 18 inches in diameter. Both trims may be equipped with 20-inch wheels that are covered in chrome or Gloss Black. Standard on the XT5 base edition, the Active Aero Shutters automatically open and close in response to the road's real-time speed. These components cool the engine block and reduce aerodynamic drag forces. Both 2021 Cadillac trims could be equipped with molded splash guards that are covered in black paint. These optional components also work well with the assist steps. Additionally, the luxury Cadillac crossover SUVs have front cornering lamps.

Features

The Cadillac User Experience infotainment system is ready to serve you inside the 2021 XT5 Luxury and Sport. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay options are available in the CUE platform. You can also pair a mobile device with Near Field Communication or Bluetooth. A navigation system with traffic alerts and colored maps is available in the Sport's multimedia console. This advanced XT5 model also offers 14 speakers that have the Bose Performance Series design. Projecting key information in color, a head-up display is optional for the Sport edition.
