Specs at a Glance

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade gets some changes this model year to be even more impressive. That says a lot for the Escalade, which is already one of the most popular and beloved large three-row SUVs on the market. The Cadillac Escalade starts its fifth production generation in 2021. With the new generation comes a bold new appearance for the Escalade, which adds even more room to its already cavernous interior. A suite of modern safety aids is added to the Cadillac as well, starting with the base trim called the Luxury and extending up to the top Sport trim that also gets Cadillac's automated driving system. The Escalade has some changes beneath its hood that come in the form of a newly-available diesel engine. You can swap out the standard gasoline engine with the diesel engine in either the Luxury or the Sport trim level.

Performance

The Escalade is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine that operates on gasoline. This engine delivers a respectable degree of power at 420 HP. Its maximum torque output is 460 LB-FT. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the drivetrain regardless of whether you get the gasoline or diesel engine, but you can select four-wheel drive on either trim level. You can also opt for the diesel with an equally potent torque output of 460 LB-FT along with the gasoline engine. The diesel engine offers exceptional fuel economy and 277 HP. The same transmission, a 10-speed automatic, is connected to both engines in the two Escalade trims.

Appearance

The 2021 Escalade has a stunning and commanding appearance on both trim levels. With the Luxury comes a glamorous shell complete with 20-inch wheels and LED headlights. Chrome accents give its exterior a distinguished look. The Sport trim gets power-retractable side steps. Larger wheels are standard on the Sport, and it also comes with a gloss-black exterior paint color. A multitude of paint colors are available to decorate both trims.

Features

The Luxury and Sport trims both have exceptional features. The Luxury trim's interior dazzles with plush leather seats and heated seats in the first and second rows. Three zones of climate control provide comfort for everyone in all seasons. The 17-inch infotainment system supports smartphone integration along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Massaging front seats and an interior decked out in leather material are standard on the Sport trim of the Cadillac Escalade. Both trims have a full suite of safety aids as well.
