Specs at a Glance

The 2020 Cadillac XT5 gets some improvements to stay competitive in the class of midsize SUVs, which is one of the most competitive automotive classes in the industry. This year, the XT5 gets some modest design changes to its exterior, although it does not get a complete overhaul. Inside, you'll find an updated infotainment system, along with more technology and safety features than in the past.

The trim lineup has expanded this year, and a new color is added to the list of choices for a personalized touch. The 2020 XT6 is an all-new release from Cadillac. This SUV makes a grand entrance to the market with a seating capacity for seven, class-leading headroom in the back row, and a tremendous 78.7 cubic feet of cargo space just behind the front row. You have an option of nine paint colors for either of the XT6 trim levels. The XT6 is also offered with several packages that make it even more enjoyable to drive.

Excellent Performance in Both Vehicles

The 2020 Cadillac XT5 is available with two engines. The entry-level engine is a turbocharged 2.0L with four cylinders. The base engine has a power output of 237 HP. This is the same engine found in the Cadillac XT4. The second engine is a 3.6L V-6 with a peak power capacity of 310 HP.

Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain on both trim levels. All-wheel drive is available on both. The exception is the Sport, which comes standard with all-wheel drive. The Cadillac XT6 is powered by an advanced 3.6L V-6 engine connected to a nine-speed transmission. Various drive modes put you in control of your driving experience.

Each Unique SUV Has a Great Appearance

Both Cadillac SUVs have smooth, refined, and elegant exteriors. The XT5 looks much like the 2019 model. But it does get some styling changes to the front and back bumpers. Its front grille now resembles the grille on the XT4 and the new XT6. You'll get more wheel options this year too, which range in size from 18 to 20 inches, and LED lights are now standard. The Sport trim gets black accents on the side windows, front grille, and lower-level pieces. The XT6 gets carbon fiber accents on its exterior and high-gloss black finishes. The base trim has red tail lights, while the higher-level trim gets tinted lights. Custom 20-inch wheels are standard.

Tech Features that Keep You Connected

From seat to the steering wheel, no detail is left out of the XT5's interior. Beautiful wood grain accents make the interior of the XT6 stand out from the crowd. Heated front seats are standard on the XT5. Premium leather, available in distinctive colors, adds a new style to the cabin. An eight-inch infotainment system is standard on both vehicles. A 4G WiFi network is available, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on both Cadillac SUVs. Wireless charging and WiFi are optional on the XT6.
