Cadillac Formula 1 Team Unites F1 Stars, Bottas and Pérez, to Lead Debut Season

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team has announced a thrilling addition to its roster! Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will join the celebrated team and lead Cadillac's Formula 1 program through the 2026 season. Although their careers took different routes, both drivers are seasoned competitors with many Grand Prix starts and podiums.

Who Is Sergio Pérez?

Sergio Pérez has secured six Grand Prix wins and is respected for his consistency and tire management skills. He's recognized on the circuit for his steady points-scoring ability and deep tire expertise. Pérez competed in Formula 1 through 2024 and will begin driving for Cadillac in 2026. His achievements include finishing as the runner-up in the 2023 Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship and earning six Grand Prix championships over nearly 15 years in the sport.

Who Is Valtteri Bottas?

Valtteri Bottas is a well-known figure in racing — a 10-time Grand Prix winner who has driven for teams like Mercedes and Alfa Romeo. Signed with Mercedes in 2017, Bottas will begin with Cadillac in 2026 and is expected to bring a wealth of technical and on-track experience. His early years in karting, combined with studies in automotive engineering and his military service, all helped shape the discipline he employs in racing.
