Cadillac is gearing up to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Endurance Race this June with four Cadillac V-Series.R racecars.
The Automobile Club de l'Quest, the race organizer, invited the automaker. In the previous two years, the automaker fielded three Hypercar entries. This year's race also commemorates the 75th anniversary of Cadillac's debut at Circuit de la Sarthe.
Cadillac Racing's lineup features drivers who have previously claimed overall and class victories at Le Mans, along with FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles. The Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Sport's V-Series.R cars, numbered 12 and 38, will see action with drivers Jenson Button, Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens. Ricky Taylor will drive the Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R car numbered 101, and Jack Aitken will take the wheel of the Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, number 311.
During its first season in the WEC Hypercar competition in 2023, Cadillac Racing's entries secured third and fourth-place finishes at the event. In 2024, Cadillac Hypercars managed second and third-place qualifications, with a top finish of seventh. Notably, the JOTA Sport team has collected podium finishes in 10 prior Le Mans races, including second and third in 2017.
