Cadillac is taking its racing efforts to the next level by introducing a two-car factory team. Starting in the 2025 season, Cadillac will launch the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA program, consisting of two cars. The team is set to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship, going up against some of the world's best racing teams.
This new racing initiative will bring together skilled drivers and decades of Cadillac's technical and racing expertise. The team aims to build on Cadillac's historic track record of success while elevating the brand's global presence.
After years of striving to become a manufacturer team, Hertz Team JOTA is finally seeing that dream come to life. The team will race the No. 12 and No. 38 V-Series R cars, powered by a V8 Cadillac engine. The driver lineup will be announced ahead of the 2025 racing season. Even though the 2025 season is still on the horizon, Cadillac already made waves in 2024 by securing a third-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This was particularly significant since it was Cadillac's first season in the WEC. Cadillac also achieved top-five finishes at Portimao, Sebring, and Spa-Francorchamps in 2023. Cadillac and Hertz are excited about the upcoming 2025 season, building on their past successes.
The V-Series R
The V-Series R is a powerful, precision-engineered race car designed by Cadillac. It boasts a 5.5L V8 hybrid engine that enhances both performance and efficiency. With a seven-speed transmission, the V-Series R delivers up to 670 horsepower. Additionally, it features a high-voltage battery pack that can regenerate up to 12kW of power, along with an electronic rear braking system for improved stability. The V-Series R is part of the Cadillac V-Series family, including the dynamic V-Series Blackwing. The Blackwing lineup includes popular models like the CT4-V and the CT5-V.
Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA
Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA is based in the United Kingdom and is the result of a collaboration between Hertz, the global car rental leader, and Cadillac. The team entered the Hypercar class in 2023 and leads the FIA World Cup in the Hypercar private teams category.
