First retail production 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ EV raises $550,000 for Detroit Children's Fund

The 2025 all-electric Cadillac ESCALADE IQ is set to make waves. To celebrate its release and ensure it benefits a deserving cause, Cadillac has auctioned off this model's first retail production (Vin 001). The auction raised an impressive $550,000 for the Detroit Children's Fund.

Barrett-Jackson Waives Fees and Commissions

The first-ever ESCALADE IQ was sold at auction on October 12, 2024. Barrett-Jackson graciously waived all commissions and fees for this event, allowing the Detroit Children's Fund to receive the full amount of the sale.

For those unfamiliar, the Detroit Children's Fund is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of education for Detroit children. GM President Mark Reuss spoke about the significance of this cause: "The education of its children is paramount to the stability and long-term health of any city, and we're thrilled that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will benefit the work the Detroit Children's Fund is doing in our hometown."

The Detroit Children's Fund partners with select schools in the area and plans to use the auction proceeds to assist thousands of students. The non-profit's CEO expressed his thanks for Cadillac's generous donation: "We are grateful to General Motors, Cadillac, and the winning bidder for their support of our mission," said DCF CEO Nick Karmanos. Cadillac has long been involved in charitable events like this, with a particular emphasis on positively impacting children.

The auction winner also has plenty to be excited about. The new ESCALADE IQ boasts a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, a massive 55-inch diagonal pillar-to-pillar touchscreen, and a standard Super Cruise. This is the most advanced and luxurious ESCALADE to date, making it an exceptional purchase.
