Cadillac is working hard on their hybrid prototype race car that is set to be released in 2023. Their V-Series prototype is going to be created with the 2023 Le Mans competition in mind. The last time that Cadillac was involved in this competition was almost 20 years ago, so there are a lot of people interested in seeing what this vehicle can achieve. Dallara has created the LMDh-V.R race car, and it’s going to handle well amongst its competition at the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech Series.
Cadillac has opted to utilize a typical Cadillac chassis system for their LMDh-V.R model, along with a specialty hybrid powertrain that will meet the requirements of the LMDh category. This means the vehicle can’t have more than 500 kW or more than 670 horsepower. The exterior is impressive, with more curves and angles than you could ever imagine. It’s very aerodynamic and futuristic. This is the beginning of the all-electric market that Cadillac will likely spearhead in the coming years.
The LMDh race car is going to debut at the 2023 Rolex 24 in Daytona. It is currently the project of Chip Ganassi Racing and Action Express Racing. We have more information available at Husker Cadillac, and we encourage you to contact us at our Lincoln location to find out more.
